Abstract

Introduction. The demand for socially responsible entrepreneurial activity is becoming particularly important in modern society. The purpose of the article is to reveal the nature and mechanism of social impact in change management in institutional international and Russian impact entrepreneurship.

Materials and methods. The analysis of the secondary results of interviews with leaders of the social change (the Social Chain project of the Autonomous Non-Governmental Organization Center for the Promotion of Innovation in the SOL Society) is carried out using the task grouping method. The author has implemented an analysis of the content of the official websites of social impact development institutes. The sample included four institutes operating within the borders of the Russian Federation, one hybrid institute (Russian as a representative of an international network) and two foreign institutes with more than 100 years of history. The analysis of the website content has been carried out according to the following criteria: implementation of development projects, impact financing of social projects, expert support, dissemination of advanced knowledge implementing various mechanisms.

Results. It has been proved that institutions for the development of social impact are engaged in institutional entrepreneurship and have an impact comparable by the importance to the social institutions. International institutions for the development of social impact have built a systematic strategic work. Russian institutions are gaining experience working with social entrepreneurs using internationally proven mechanisms. When developing a methodology for social sustainability, they take into account not only economic parameters, but also the impact of business on the environment, and assess the consequences of entrepreneurial activity for the society in the field of healthcare and education. Socially responsible business is supported by reducing the financial burden on social entrepreneurs through thoughtful strategies for raising funds on a competitive basis, promoting significant innovative solutions, initiating project transfers between countries, and expert training. By focusing on social sustainability, companies strengthen their brand, attract the best specialists, and increase customer loyalty.

Discussion. Social impact is formed through the consolidation of social ties, increases the level of trust in the community and the social capital in the society on the whole. Once a successful social result has been replicated, it strengthens the connections of the leaders of social change. Further study of the institute of social impact development is required.
