The article presents a new approach to the analysis of the phenomenon of political manipulation. The authors note that the topic of political manipulation, in general, is sufficiently developed in the domestic and foreign scientific literature. However, in the overwhelming majority of studies on political manipulation, this phenomenon is considered in an obsolete context: as a rule, the specifics of manipulating a particular person through traditional media are studied. In this regard, the authors consider it relevant to explore the features of political manipulation in accordance with the challenges of our time, namely, the active use of “new media” in society. Political manipulation is considered in the article as a type of modern Internet communication. A comparison is made of the peculiarities of political manipulation in the "new media" with the phenomenon of "rhizome" described by French philosophers postmodernists Gilles Deleuze and Felix Guattari. Political manipulation is considered in the article as a type of modern Internet communication. A comparison is made of the peculiarities of political manipulation in the "new media" with the phenomenon of "rhizome" described by French philosophers postmodernists Gilles Deleuze and Felix Guattari. According to the authors, the key feature of modern Internet communication, and therefore political manipulation, is rhizomorphization. The authors define this concept as the process of transforming a linear form of communication into a network, chaotic system of equal actors. Based on this concept, the authors derive a new type of political manipulation rhizomorphic. A characteristic feature of this type of political manipulation is the viral nature of the spread. The main form of the virus is the political meme. Separately emphasizes the changing role of the subject and object in the process of transforming political manipulation from linear to rhizomorphic. A model of rhizomorphic political manipulation is presented, in which any Internet user can act as an object of political manipulation (a consumer of political content) and a subject of political manipulation (producer and distributor of political content) at the same time. function show_eabstract() { $('#eabstract1').hide(); $('#eabstract2').show(); $('#eabstract_expand').hide(); } ▼Показать полностью
