Purpose. The analysis of actual problems of fight against corruption in the higher education system of Russia. Methods. Sociological study concerning the attitudes of students of Ukhta state technical University on fighting and combating corruption in higher education. Results and scientific novelty. It studies and reveals the role and significance of the work to combat corruption in the higher education system in particular and our society in General. The analysis of emergence reasons and main forms of manifestation of this negative phenomenon of society, were the main directions and means to fight corruption in education. The authors believe that currently our ability to identify and investigate corrupt elements of cases very difficult. This activity dictates the necessity of creation and adoption of a number of special laws, which would take into account the appropriate conditions, attitudes and norms in the fight against various forms of corruption in higher education system of Russia. The authors conclude that the part of state bodies and public structures should be designed and implemented activities for the development among students negative attitude to corruption, enhancing law enforcement activities to counter this negative phenomenon in the educational environment, as well as the active implementation in practice of the fight against corruption of modern experience using the latest technologies.

Purpose. The article is devoted to the analysis of the prospects for the development of civil society institutions and governance in modern Russia. Methods. Based on the system and process approaches, the authors use methods of analysis, evaluation, comparison. Results and scientific novelty. The researchers analyzed the essence, conditions and factors of the development of civil society and the system of democratic governance in modern Russia, which determines the opportunities, quality and standard of living of citizens. The article also analyzes prospects and ways of further development of civil society institutions and management systems.

Purpose. The analysis of actual problems of patriotic education of Russian student youth. Methods. The authors carry out a sociological study concerning the attitude of students of Ukhta state technical University to the issues of patriotism as a value and various aspects of patriotic education. Results and scientific novelty. The article studies and reveals the role and importance of Patriotic education in our society. In the centuries-old history of the Russia patriotism has always acted and should be the basis of the system of values of its citizens, regardless of the prevailing culturally conditioned type of patriotism. At present, the problems of Patriotic education in Russia come from the objective impossibility of unambiguous interpretation of the concept of «patriotism». Nevertheless, now it is patriotism that forms the basis of the integration of the new society, and the process of Patriotic upbringing acquires uniformity through state normative documents. The generation of young Russians demonstrates the predominance of patriotism of the state type, peaceful moods and interest in the activities of Patriotic organizations. The authors conclude that young people should play the most active role in overcoming the crisis of patriotic education by reviving a culture of conscious patriotism. This is possible only with the consolidation of the activities of state institutions, the institution of the family, the Russian education system and the media.

Purpose. Consideration of the development of intellectual potential of higher education and training of professional qualified specialists using the educational process, which includes innovative achievements of science and technology. Methods. Authors carried out an expert survey of the teaching staff of the Ukhta State Technical University, concerning various aspects of the development of innovative activity in the educational process of a regional university. The results and scientific novelty. The main ways of introduction of innovative processes in the realities of a modern regional university, features of intensification of innovative activity in higher education are analyzed. Authors show the interdependence of various aspects of the formation of the intellectual potential of the university, the need for focused stimulation of subjects of the educational process to mastering innovations. Some regularities and problems of innovative development of the university are studied and described.
