Purpose. Study of contradictions, limitations, problems both in understanding the processes of measuring human capital, and in the methodology for its evaluation. Methods. The study was carried out on the basis of an analysis of the approaches of domestic and foreign authors to the evaluation and measurement of human capital. In the process of studying the issues raised, general scientific methods of research, methods of formal logic, as well as methods such as analysis, comparison, generalization and system approach were used. Results. Cause-effect relationships of the main problems in the field of labor productivity, economic growth with fundamental approaches to the evaluation and measurement of human capital are built. The main contradictions in the methods and approaches used for quantitative analysis of the multifaceted category of human capital have been revealed. Scientific novelty. Discrepancies are revealed that make it difficult to use a single methodological approach to measuring human capital. An integrated approach to the systematization of methods for calculating human capital metrics and developing basic parameters for improving methodological approaches to the assessment of human capital for the purposes of correct and effective management at all levels of impact is developed.
