MODERN TRANSFORMATION OF THE RUSSIAN LABOUR MARKET IN CONDITIONS OF ECONOMIC INSTABILITY

Abstract

Purpose. The purpose and task of the study was to examine trends in the labour market in the context of the crisis and influence of negative external factors in the Russian economy. Methods and methodology. During the research the author used the scientific methods: retrospective analysis, comparative analysis, data mapping method. Using the method of statistical analysis the author analyzed the dynamics of the Russian labour market indicators and its structural elements in conditions of economic instability and identified the cause-and-effect relationships. Scientific novelty. As a result of the statistical analysis the author made a conclusion about the transformation of the Russian labour market. It was also concluded that in the face of lingering uncertainty actors of the economy changed their behavior: workers are less decisive to change the place of work and try to stick to their previous jobs, even if they are not satisfied with the conditions, employers are also a more flexible in the policy towards their staff. They are reluctant to dismiss the staff, offering retrainin for the employees. Results. As a result of this analysis, it was concluded on gradual adaptation of the labour market to new crisis conditions. Conclusions were also made of the need for State regulation of employment by creating new productive and well-paid jobs. It is necessary to increase employment with high productivity in the formal sector, as well as the need for investment to human capital.
