THE MECHANISM AND SYSTEM OF PROJECT FINANCING

Abstract

Subject. In the world practice to implement large-scale and capital-intensive projects for several decades actively used project financing. Russian companies are inevitably faced with the need for the implementation of projects similar in complexity and magnitude, with those that are their competitors in world markets. This is why the project funding is becoming potentially more and more popular and necessary in Russia, and so the ability to fully use the project financing relevant to the development of Russian companies and, ultimately, for the development of the economy as a whole. Purpose. The aim of this work is to study the emergence of the concept of "project financing" in the scientific literature, the definition of the essence of project Finance and the history of its development from the identification of the advantages and disadvantages of this form, the definition of control mechanisms of project financing. Methodology. In this study, using qualitative methods, a comparative analysis of the term "project financing" and other forms of investments, of the global experience project Finance in historical perspective and the study of national characteristics of countries. Results and scientific novelty. The result of this work is to determine the theoretical foundations of project Finance, its key features, stages, fields of application and characteristics of each stage of project financing. Identifies measures to improve national legislation on project financing. The obtained results will be required for the management decisions to implement large-scale investment projects in Russia. Activities contributing to the further favorable development of project financing in Russia were identified in the frame of this work.
