Having based on statistical data, an economic analysis of the impact of migration flows on the relevant indicators of economic security of the Leningrad Region was conducted. The empirical basis of the study was made up of current official and expert assessment data (in terms of unpublished information, such as GRP, GRP per capita, etc. for the last year before the release of official reporting).

Results and conclusions. Having based on the results of the study, the authors proposed areas of regulatory regulation of migration policy at the level of the subject of the federation, which can positively affect the state of the regional economic system.
