Subject. The phenomenon of corruption in public authorities, the formulation of methods to combat corruption in public authorities. Purpose. Determination of methods of combating corruption in public authorities. Methods. The basis of the work was the General scientific dialectical method of cognition, which allowed to consider the system of public authorities as a dynamic category through the prism of the fight against corruption. The complex also used functional, comparative legal and formal-logical method of cognition. Results. The paper formulates methods of combating corruption in public authorities, which confirms the importance of the study. Scientific novelty. The work reflects the ways and methods of combating corruption in public authorities.

Subject. Anti-corruption in public authorities, the causes of corruption in public authorities and ways to counteract. Purpose. The issues of counteracting corruption in public authorities have been analyzed, methods of counteraction have been proposed and the reasons for their occurrence have been established. Methods. The research was carried out on the basis of a set of general scientific methods, such as the generalization and systematization of theoretical data on the basis of studying the work of different authors, analyzing, synthesizing, comparing, system-functional and integrated approach, using analysis of judicial practice and normative legal acts. Results. The theoretical and practical significance of the research is that it examines the causes, consequences of state corruption and issues of combating corruption in public authorities. Scientific novelty. The most effective mechanism for counteracting corruption in the bodies of state power of Russia was identified.
