Purpose. The article is aimed at researching various aspects of interaction between the phenomena of state sovereignty and color revolutions. Methodology and methods. In the course of the research, analytic-critical generalizations that arise around the concepts of "state sovereignty" and "color revolution" are used, a theoretical analysis of empirical information is used. The initial empirical material was provided by two speeches by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, NA. Nazarbayev: 1) on the response to terrorist events in Aktobe in June 2016; 2) on the transition to the modernization of the constitutional system in January 2017. Comparing these events with scientific approaches to "color revolutions" and the phenomenon of flexible sovereignty, the author demonstrates the theoretically and practically significant relationship of the phenomena under study. Scientific novelty. The author's hypothesis was advanced and subjected to preliminary assessment, according to which "color revolutions", widely known for the events of the "Arab Spring" and in the countries of the post-Soviet space, can be prevented due to the development of internal state sovereignty. Conclusions and scope. The initial provisions and results of the study can be used for further theoretical research, as well as for the development of the concepts of authorities in the field under consideration.
