Purpose. Researching political power as a concept in order to determine the potential limits (scope of the concept) of the definition of the concept of "political power". Revealing different research strategies employing both similar and differing methodological basis in the attempts to formulate the definition of the concept of "political power" with both theoreticalmethodological and practical (application) value, as well as identification of important components of the concept of "political power" political authority, legitimacy, state. Methods. Analytical methodology (experience of the concept analytics), methods of political philosophy and methods of political analysis have been used in the research. The conducted analysis revealed a list of possible values of political power and outlined a possible conceptual field to formulate the definition bearing theoretical and practical importance. Results. The formulated conclusions allow for giving a complete (as is currently possible) scope of the concept of "political power". Quite a thorough overview of different sources exploring different approaches to the definition of "political power" is provided. The author offers the basis for understanding political power as a concept of great practical importance, after due verification. Scientific novelty. Different approaches to understanding political power are introduced and analyzed that allowed to indicate theoretical and applied context of the given concept. The interrelation of various aspects of the concept of "political power" essential to clarify the applied definitions has been studied.

Purpose. Research of power as a notion and phenomenon for marking of possible limits of an exact determination of the notion of power, indication of irredundant methodological strategies in the efforts to formulate such a definition, pinpointing legitimacy, hierarchy, domination, authority, justice as major constituents of the notion of power. Methods. For the research, the author used analytical and phenomenological methodology, methods of social and political philosophy, and methods of political analysis. The conducted analysis identified a number of possible meanings of power, definitions for formulation of an exact notion, distinctive description and understanding of the phenomenon of power. Results. The author recorded problems and contradictions hampering the exact determination of the notion of power; gave a thorough review of sources containing various approaches towards the notion of power and power as a phenomenon; shows lameness and lack of positivist methodology for studying the notion of power and phenomena of power; offered the basis for substantial understanding of power. Scientific novelty. The author systematized and analyzed different approaches to understanding of power, exact definition of the notion of power, pointed out the context of the given notion. The author researched relationship between various notions of power; selected those which are necessary the development of complete and consistent definitions.

Purpose. Research of the “color revolution” phenomenon as a specific variety of public putsch in the aspect of opposing public structures and pressure groups, causes and conditions contributing the “color revolution” and countermeasures. Methods. As a result of the research the author identified basic political technologies applied in realizing the “color revolutions” script, systematized the conditions and countermeasures, actions of the parties – “color revolution” actors. For the research, the author used a methodology of social and political philosophy, methods of sociological research and political analysis. Results. The author identified and investigated correlation among the mistakes made by public administration, political elites and the “color revolution” realization success as a kind of public putsch variety. He briefly reviewed the sources containing analyses of various aspects of the given phenomenon. The author shows a negative role of absenteeism, excessive bureaucratization of public administration and use of administrative resources within the system of public management. He also proposed an algorithm version on which a “color revolution” technology and countermeasures. Scientific novelty. The author disclosed and systematized regularities of the “color revolution” phenomenon connected with political, cultural and social context; investigated relationship among excessive bureaucratization of public administration, use of administrative resources and “color revolution” success.
