Purpose of the article to update the interest to the potential of projected thinking and practice of design in political processes through research of genesis of the given political event. Methods and methodology. The author introduced the tasks to determine purposes and strategies of the considered processes, subjects and actors of the designed political processes, rules of designing, procedures of its legitimation, organization and management according to its complexity and managerial functions by the method of comparative analysis of historical practices. Scientific novelty. Analysis of practices of political design during the historical period up to the epoch of Modern Times allowed making a conclusion that political study, which gave birth to the theory of powers division, representative type of management, transparency of management, founded a basis for political design of XIX-XX centuries distinguished by ideological bent and determined further development of political ideas. Results of the article can be used as a theoretical basis for modern practice of political design, such as projects of youth political movements, public organizations of political orientation, etc.
