Purpose. Development scientific-methodological substantiation of modern methods of performance assessment обмеof influence on municipal level and recommendations development on provision of effective activity of local self-power bodies. Methods. Analysis of specificity of municipal development management is based on the author’s methodology including a number of indices which were calculated for municipal entities (municipal districts) in Oryol region for 2013 as the basic one was adopted in 2011. Results. The author substantiated a methodological approach to the improvement of assessment system of effectiveness of municipal development management, which allows specializing information on the condition of every municipal entity, on contribution character of power bodies to its development, and form an information basis for the development and correction of managerial decisions. Scientific novelty. Scientific novelty is in solving tasks effectiveness assessment of managerial influence of self-power bodies that allow reacting adequately to changes of external factors conducting social-economic policy towards its correction to improve living standards of population on a specific territory.
