Purpose. Analysis and assessment of survivability of the Russian public management. The author synthesizes sociological and managerial approaches for purposes of integral review of the considered object. Methods. Analysis of the cause-and-effect relations within the context of the Russian national identity. Results and scientific novelty. In the article the author considers survivability as a sign of new rationality, sociological-managerial aspect of this problem analysis. According to the author, that approach is just appearing and it is necessary to develop it. That approach is not a mirror reflection of social forces, but much more difficult, many-sided phenomenon.
