The article is devoted to the analysis of problems connected with realizing of state policy in the sphere of electric power safety on a regional level exemplified by Sverdlovsk region and development of practical recommendations on statutory and institutional regulation in that sphere. The authors substantiate a number of ways of state policy in the sphere of electric power safety on a regional level, in particular: provision of uninterrupted power supply of various objects with account of categories; provision of power supply at affordable prices; control for provision of relevant safety of fuel-and-energy companies according to 256-FZ “On safety of fuel-and-energy companies”; diversification of fuel balance and increase of proportion of local fuel-and-energy resources in it. Besides, the authors consider the activity of Sverdlovsk region government on provision of regional energy safety as a constituent of regional energy complex. The authors also consider activity of Collegiums of Energy and Housing and Public Utilities Ministry of Sverdlovsk region on implementation of public control forms through close cooperation of power bodies and business, science and public representatives.
