Abstract

Purpose. To explore the possibilities of using nonparametric methods in the analysis of innovation and economic activity of the subjects of the Russian Federation Methods. In the article such general scientific methods as experiment, statistical and comparative analysis were applied. In addition, tabular methods of visual representation of results are used. Results. The research has shown that there is a direct positive connection between the innovation potential and the resource and investment attractiveness of the federal districts, as well as the expansion of opportunities to use economic and statistical analysis methods to detect new phenomena and incipient trends in a timely manner in order to increase the effectiveness of the development and implementation of strategic decisions at the macro level. Scientific novelty. The scientific novelty lies in the study of the relationship between the innovation potential and the resource-investment attractiveness of the nine federal districts of the Russian Federation by the method of rank correlation analysis, which makes it possible to bring together both the quantitative and qualitative characteristics of the processes under study.
