Subject. Content and social efficiency of State support for working young people in Sverdlovsk region. Purpose. To identify problems of realization of State support for working young people in Sverdlovsk region and develop proposals for their solution. Methodology and methods. Research methodology is based on the principles of activity approach to State support for working young people. Activity approach allows you to identify the key components and directions of the State support for young people, identify problems, causes and factors of their emergence, in order to propose the most effective means of influence on them. In the course of the study, the authors used such methods as description, analysis, synthesis, and analysis of official documents, sociological questionnaire survey, expert interviews, analysis of statistical data. Results. The authors studied the legal framework of the State support for young people at work; among working youth of Sverdlovsk region they conducted a questionnaire survey on the evaluation of the social effi ciency of regional State support of young people at work; identified the main problems of young people in the region, the level of awareness of the measures of the State support provided, a subjective rating of the youth offered State support measures; expert estimates were obtained for State support of young people in Sverdlovsk oblast; the main problems identified in the implementation of measures of the State support of young people at work; suggest ways to improve State support for young people in Sverdlovsk oblast. The scope of results. The results of the study can be used in the activities of governmental power bodies of RF subjects to develop concepts and public support programs for working young people. Scientific novelty. The developed a new diagnostic technique allowing to assess social effectiveness of public support for young people at work; obtained appraisals of the Sverdlovsk Region Government support measures for working youth; researched facts and conditions of implementation of the State support for working young people in the region, as well as the problem of its implementation; proposed ways to enhance social effectiveness of public support for working young people in Sverdlovsk region.
